The American writer Dan Wells arrived in Bolivia invited by the Embassy of the United States, Librería Lectura and the Book Chamber of La Paz to participate in the International Book Fair FIL 2018. With his characteristic cowboy hat, the author captivated almost 1,400 people, most of them young, in their presentations, not only in La Paz, but also in Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.
Wells became famous with his book “I’m Not a Serial Killer” whose main character is John Cleaver. “He is a psychopath who has a mysterious ability to connect and fascinate readers. It is a bit scary, isn’t it? “, the writer ironized. He is also the author of Mirador and Partials sagas.
“Dan’s work has awakened a young generation that sometimes is not associated with reading books,” said the Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy, Bruce Williamson, at the keynote speech that the author offered at the FIL.
