Cultural Affairs Officer Speaks to 6 Years Old Kids

On February 1, the Cultural Affairs Officer, Lia Miller had the opportunity of speaking to an entire grade about her career as a Foreign Service Officer, her current position as Cultural Affairs Officer, and to kick Black History Month off right, spoke about the civil rights movement, the teachings of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, the significance of former President Barack Obama’s being president, equal rights and more. Considering the audience was comprised of 6-and-7-year olds, they were refreshingly engaged and asked great questions.
