Amy Christianson is the Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy La Paz.  She joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 2002 and previously served in Pakistan, South Africa, Brazil, Honduras, and Mexico.  Amy served in Washington D.C. at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs where she was the Global Alumni Outreach Coordinator deepening the U.S. government’s relationship with millions of exchange alumni, and as the Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs.  Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Amy was the Deputy Executive Director of a Native American association located in Washington, D.C. and a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic.  She grew up in Montana, attended Concordia College in Minnesota, and now calls Virginia home.
