Our history

The C.B.A. Tarija was created by the Foundation Act of May 18, 1998 and obtained its legal status on November 4, 1998. Offering a complete and comprehensive service, where students have access to different technological areas in which they can put into practice what they have learned and continue to enrich their knowledge of the English language, culture and social work. They also have access to the Bilingual Library “Maritza Navaja” where we provide a warm and comfortable environment for study and healthy fun thanks to our wonderful collection of books, magazines, board games and different digital resources. Thanks to the support of the Embassy of the United States, CBA Tarija was able to make its dream come true and inaugurate 3 important spaces:

  •  “Fast Track”
  • “Information Common”
  • Virtual Cluster”

The CBA Tarija is a non-profit Educational and Cultural Foundation that cares about your dreams and your future. Providing a quality service, complemented with updated teachers and different teaching methods.

It is a “Binational Center” that works for the intercultural integration between the peoples of Bolivia and the USA.

Full member of the “Association of Latin American Binational Centers – ABLA” and member of the board of the “Federation of Binational Centers of Bolivia – FEBI”.

Administrator of cultural programs and scholarships for English studies at the Embassy of the United States of America for English teachers and students of public schools. For example The English Plus Scholarship Program and The ACCESS Scholarship Program. The CBA Tarija also offers the Andrés de Santa Cruz Scholarship.

Authorized official center for the taking of the aptitude tests of the English language: MET of CaMLA and TOEFL iBT.

Education USA, an authorized educational counseling center, official institution of the Department of State for the application for studies and scholarships in the USA.

Creator and administrator of the American Leaders program for the development of leaders with a social mission. We offer different plans and schedules. English for children, teens, young adults and adults.

CBA Tarija is much more than English!
