The U.S. Embassy La Paz of the U.S. Department of State, through its office of Alumni Programs, is pleased to announce an open competition for funding. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) specifically targets alumni of U.S. Embassy and U.S. government programs who fall under the Inspira Alumni Bolivia network.
Inspira Alumni Bolivia is a network of Bolivians who have studied in the United States on a U.S. government scholarship or participated in a U.S. Department of State funded exchange program.
Program Objectives: The Small grants for Alumni provide quick turnaround funding to support alumni-led projects up to $10,000 that address educational inclusivity, economic recovery, resiliency and other COVID-19 recovery efforts. We encourage alumni to submit projects that bolster democratic principles while addressing the needs that have arisen due to the current global health crisis including, but not limited to, media literacy, access to education, economic empowerment, and community resilience.
Special consideration will be given to:
- Projects that do not have in-person interaction.
- Projects that clearly demonstrate alumni leadership and community engagement
- Alumni applying in teams
- Projects implemented in Bolivia.
- If you have any questions on whether you qualify as an alumnus, please contact the Post Alumni Coordinator at Pradoj@state.gov
Please read the full NOFO carefully and thoroughly.
