The U.S. Embassy in La Paz has resumed all routine U.S. Citizen Services including Notarial services.
If you require a new passport, a renewal passport, or just aren’t sure, our simple Passport Wizard will assist you in determining your eligibility and gathering the documentation needed to apply.
There is no walk-in service for United States citizens who require a service related to passports, citizenship, or birth registration. These services are by appointment only.
Passport services are not available on weekends, or on Bolivian or U.S. Holidays.

You must provide one photo with your passport application. All our photo policies apply to both adults and children under age 16. We have a few exceptions to our photo policies for infants.
Emergency United States passports are issued to those applicants who have immediate travel and cannot wait to receive a regular full-validity passport before traveling.
